Our Services

We realize that no two people are the same and as such tailor our therapy to meet the specific needs of our clients. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression or any other issue, we will help you recognize underlying problems, fully realize your strengths and adjust certain behaviors and thoughts to see things a different, healthier way.

Our practice specializes in treating individuals, couples and families and a variety of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, grief and loss, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and general change of life issues. We do so using a variety of therapy modalities.

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is what usually comes to mind when patients think of seeking counseling services. You will meet one-on-one with your therapist to review the paperwork that was completed prior to your appointment to allow your therapist to complete her psychosocial assessment. However, if you wish, you may have a support person attend your sessions with you, and your therapist requests that a parent or guardian be present for at least part of the initial session with an underage person. At your second appointment, you and your therapist will develop your treatment plan, which identifies your goals for treatment. The sessions that follow will be focused on the achievement of those goals. Sessions occur on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis, depending on your treatment needs and progress toward goals. Sessions are typically 45-60minutes in length.

Family Therapy

Family therapy is specifically tailored to each family and the needs that are identified. It may include all your family members, or possibly only specific members of your family, based on the issues presented and the willingness of family members to participate in treatment. Your specific treatment plan will depend on your family’s situation. Family therapy sessions can teach you skills to deepen family connections and get through stressful times, even after you’re done going to therapy sessions. During family therapy sessions, it is possible that one or more individual members of the family will have needs identified that are suited for individual treatment. In this case, your therapist will assist in making referrals to an individual therapist to address those needs. Sessions occur on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis, depending on treatment needs and progress toward goals. Sessions are typically 45-60 minutes in length.

Relationship Therapy

One member of the couple will be identified as the client for billing and case management purposes. However, both partners will attend the initial session and treatment planning sessions. Treatment will focus on addressing the identified areas for improvement in the relationship. Also, if your therapist identifies needs in one or both partners that would best be addressed in individual treatment, they can assist in providing an appropriate referral for that person’s care. Sessions occur on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis, depending on treatment needs and progress toward goals. Sessions are typically 45-60 minutes in length.

Faith-Based Therapy

Some members of our team are able to incorporate spirituality into their counseling. If you are interested in having this be a part of your treatment, please indicate so during your initial contact and you will be assigned to a team member who is able to provide this service.
